Mudassar Nazar: “I haven’t formed an opinion [about Shan as captain], but I am against the idea of bringing somebody out of the blue and then making them captain just because they know English; this is not the right thing to do”

Former Pakistan batsman Mudassar Nazar has refused to hold Test captain Shan Masood fully responsible for the team’s dismal performance in the recent three-match Test series against Australia.

Mudassar Nazar: “He was bowling at a speed of 120 km per hour, and his body language was not right either. He seemed quite tired. So, one thing is that his fitness is not up to the standard required for a Test bowler”

Former Pakistan batsman Mudassar Nazar believes speedster Khurram Shahzad is not fit enough to be a Test bowler after he appeared to be “quite tired” and bowled at 120 kph during the three-match Test series against Australia.

Mudassar Nazar: “If Babar continues to score runs in Test cricket likes he does in ODIs, then he will be considered among greats of the game”

Former Pakistan batsman Mudassar Nazar said captain Babar Azam will establish himself as one of the greats of the game if he keeps scoring runs in Test cricket.

Mudassar Nazar: “Babar is only 28 years old. The rate at which he is going, he would end up as one of the best Pakistan batsman ever, but for that he needs to be more focused”
