Former Pakistan cricketer Yasir Hameed is baffled as to why talented middle order batsman Usman Salahuddin has constantly been ignored by the selectors despite doing well in domestic cricket.

Shahid Afridi, the former interim chief selector, has expressed his shock at the fact that middle order batsman Usman Salahuddin is nowhere to be seen despite having “had some great performances.”

Former Multan Sultans co-owner Ali Khan Tareen believes Usman Salahuddin is the most difficult batsman to get out in Pakistan.
Pakistan batsman Usman Salahuddin: “We need to play according to [the] situation. If the situation requires you to bat slowly, then you need to do that. Strike-rate doesn’t matter much”

Usman Salahuddin believes it is unfair for the national selectors to judge a player solely based on their strike-rate.
