Shaheen Shah Afridi, the left-arm fast bowler, said former Pakistan six-hitting machine Shahid Afridi has been a big source of inspiration for him.

Shahid Afridi: “I don’t think there is any need to announce a vice-captain [for the World Cup]. There is only one captain, so only keep him in mind and let him do his thing”

Shahid Afridi believes it is useless for Pakistan to have a vice-captain for the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup in India and feels that captain Babar Azam should be given the freedom to “do his thing”.

Shahid Afridi: “I asked where is Fakhar? They said Fakhar has no performances and there is an issue with his fitness, so that is why they were not interested. After two days, I took his fitness test. I found him to be fit, so I considered him”
