Legendary England batsman Kevin Pietersen has revealed that the speed at which iconic Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar used to bowl at was “crazy”.

Andrew Flintoff: “I used to pick up all these tips of reverse swing and thumb positions. I think my action also landed itself towards reverse swing as well. Wasim had a massive part in my career”

Legendary England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff has revealed that iconic Pakistan left-arm seamer Wasim Akram helped him become a successful cricketer.

Andrew Flintoff: “I called him and said ‘Shoaib it’s all right. You look like Tarzan but bowl like Jane’, which haunted me straight away. First or second ball, my stump was cartwheeling backwards and as I walked off he gave me that big ‘ooahhhhh’ (Tarzan scream)”
