Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif has called out fast bowlers Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain, Hasan Ali and Ihsanullah for not bowling at 140 to 150 kph anymore.
He noted that all of them were lethally quick at one point before slowly losing their pace over time.
Latif admitted it is puzzling why all of them have experienced the same decline in bowling speed and wants to know the reason behind it.
“Our fast bowlers like Naseem, Shaheen, Rauf, Hasnain, Hasan and Ihsanullah all bowled at 140-150 kph initially, but their pace dropped over time,” he told Sports Tak as quoted by PakPassion.
The Pakistan team were recently involved in a two-Test series against Bangladesh and lost 2-0 despite playing both matches on home soil in Rawalpindi.
Many of the national players are now featuring in the Champions One-Day Cup, which is a domestic 50-over tournament going on in Faisalabad.
Next up for Pakistan will be a three-Test series against England, which is scheduled to take place from October 7 to 28.
