Pakistan speedster Khurram Shahzad is determined to become “one of Pakistan’s main bowlers” in Test cricket.
His comments come after he had a strong campaign in the two-Test series against Bangladesh, taking nine wickets at an average of 24.44.
Having made his presence felt despite the men in green losing the series 2-0, Shahzad is eager to taste more success and hopes to get more opportunities coming his way in the future.
“I am aiming to play a lot of Test cricket for Pakistan and try to become one of Pakistan’s main bowlers in red-ball cricket,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Shahzad is not involved in the ongoing Champions One-Day Cup, which is a domestic 50-over competition being held in Faisalabad.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a three-match Test series against England, which is set to be played from October 7 to 28.
