Mushtaq has been working very closely with Gazi
Former Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq has announced that he will be rejoining Bangladesh as their spin bowling consultant when they host New Zealand next month.
Bangladesh’s series against New Zealand will consist of two Test matches, three ODIs and a one-off Twenty20 International.
“I look forward to joining the Bangladesh camp by the end of September,” Mushtaq told the Dhaka Tribune. “If not, (by) October 1 is a must.”
Since joining Bangladesh in 2012, Mushtaq has worked very closely with Sohag Gazi, who excelled during his ODI debut against the West Indies, claiming four wickets, including that of flamboyant opening batsman Chris Gayle, for just 29 runs.
Since then, Mushtaq has even set specific fields for different kinds of batsmen when Gazi bowls.
Mushtaq has also worked extensively with Abdur Razzak and Shakib Al Hasan.
