Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has paid a huge compliment to left-arm seamer Shaheen Shah Afridi, saying his bowling reminded him of the legendary Wasim Akram.
Wasim Akram: “He doesn’t play red-ball cricket. He’s not going to improve. If he’s not going to play, you don’t want a player in your team who refuses to play red-ball cricket”

Pakistan fast bowling great Wasim Akram has expressed his frustration at the fact that rapid speedster Haris Rauf refuses to play red-ball cricket regularly.
Wasim Akram: “I was talking to Waqar (Younis), and I asked, how come he hasn’t fixed the run-up in the last four or five years since he’s been playing? He said he doesn’t play red-ball cricket”

Wasim Akram: “The coach can play Babar at any position he wants. In my opinion, number three is ideal for him, but it will depend on the situation. If there are more overs left, someone else could also go in to bat first”

Robin Uthappa: “Wasim Akram was too skillful. He was nuts! Just as he was ambling in to bowl, he lifted his index finger off the ball and then just pushed at it. As the ball is coming to you it goes away. He does like such weird things with the ball”
