Former India batsman Robin Uthappa said legendary Pakistan left-arm seamer Wasim Akram “was nuts” and “too skillful” as he did “such weird things with the ball”.
Wasim is arguably the best pace bowler Pakistan have ever produced as he troubled batsmen with his speed, swing, bouncers, and yorkers.
The 59-year-old took part in 104 Tests and picked up 414 wickets at an average of 23.62.
The Sultan of Swing is also the second-highest wicket-taker in ODI history with 502 wickets in 356 matches at an average of 23.52.

He does like such weird things with the ball. I absolutely love Wasim Akram,” Uthappa was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Pakistan team were recently in action in the 2025 Asia Cup, where they lost to India in the final.
The men in green are now taking on South Africa and began by drawing the two-Test series 1-1.
As for the ongoing three-match T20I series, it is tied at 1-1.
Once the T20Is are done, Pakistan and South Africa will play three ODIs from November 4 to 8.
Afterwards, Pakistan will go up against Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series from November 11 to 15, before taking part in a T20I tri-series involving Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from November 17 to 29.
