Ahmed Shehzad: “Sajid Khan and Nauman Ali deserve credit for consistently delivering on spin-friendly pitches. Abrar Ahmed, too, has been brilliant. But let’s not forget, these conditions are tailor-made for them. We need to prepare players for all kinds of surfaces”

Pakistan ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan has stood by his decision to select spinner Abrar Ahmed and the pace trio of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf, saying they “are our best options”.

Mohammad Amir: “Considering the dry conditions there, spinners might be needed. I feel Usama Mir could have been an option. And if you were bringing in Khushdil Shah, then I think if Usama wasn’t in your plan, you could have kept Shadab Khan instead”
