Pakistan mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed said he is capable of bowling with both the old and new ball.
Abrar has become a crucial member of the national team across all three formats despite initially only being part of the Test team.
The 26-year-old credited the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for helping him “break into Pakistan’s white-ball squads”, where he has become one of the go-to spinners.
“You could say the PSL played a key role in helping me break into Pakistan’s white-ball squads, especially in T20Is, as I can bowl with both the new ball and the old ball,” he told PCB Digital as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
Recently, Abrar was in action in the 2025 PSL and finished as the joint second-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in 12 matches for the Quetta Gladiators at an average of 19.23 and an economy rate of 7.34.
After PSL 10 ended, the Karachi native was involved in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh and picked up three wickets at an average of 27 and an economy rate of 8.10.
The men in green won the series 3-0.
