Legendary Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf has slammed wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan, claiming talking to him “feels useless”.

Yousuf added that Rizwan, who is currently going through a rough patch with the bat, refuses to accept anything.

The 34-year-old was recently involved in Pakistan’s three-Test series against England, but was one of seven players sent home midway through the tour.

In the two games he played, he amassed 61 runs at an average of 15.25.

“Talking to Rizwan feels useless; there is no benefit. He will not accept anything,” Yousuf was quoted as saying by TOK Sports.

Rizwan is now featuring in first-class cricket in Pakistan as he captained Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in their President’s Trophy Grade-I match against Khan Research Laboratories and made scores of 64 and 27.

Since he has been playing domestic cricket, he was not picked for Pakistan’s recent T20I series against Sri Lanka, which the men in green won 2-1.

He was also ignored by the selectors for the ongoing ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka and England.
