Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali said he has constantly been asked about whether he plans to retire since he has not been performing at his best.
Hasan, who is only 32, said he does not know “anything other than cricket”, echoing wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan, who has faced similar questions about retirement.
Hasan has been active in domestic cricket and recently took part in the National Champions Cup, a 50-over competition, where he was among the highest wicket-takers with seven wickets in three matches for Pakistan Blues at an average of 15.71.
“When you don’t perform, people say you are done. I am listening to so many questions regarding retirement. Just like Mohammad Rizwan, I don’t know anything other than cricket,” he was quoted as saying by Khel Shel.
Hasan was not picked for Pakistan’s recent T20I series against Sri Lanka, which the men in green won 2-1.
He was also left out of the team for the ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka and England, which will take place from October 18 to 31 in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
