Pakistan big-hitting batsman Khushdil Shah has expressed his frustration at the fact that he was not included in the national team despite scoring 700 to 800 runs in domestic cricket.
He noted that he has been doing his job batting at number five and six, but the selectors continue to ignore him.
Khushdil last represented Pakistan in September 2025 but remains active in domestic cricket.
In the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), the 31-year-old amassed 109 runs in 10 matches for the Karachi Kings at an average of 15.57 and a strike-rate of 137.97.
He also took eight wickets at an average of 24.37 and an economy rate of 9.66.
“I scored 700, 800 runs at number 5 or 6 in domestic cricket, yet I was dropped from the team,” Khushdil was quoted as saying by NDTV.
The Bannu native was recently in action in the National Champions Cup, a 50-over competition, and made 64 runs in three games for Pakistan Whites, which included a top score of 51, at an average of 21.33.
With the ball, he picked up one wicket at an average of 67.
