Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja believes Under-19 captain Farhan Yousaf has showcased shades of India superstar Virat Kohli when batting.
Yousaf is considered to be one of the brightest young stars in Pakistan cricket, with many believing he will soon be in the national team.
Currently, the 19-year-old is captaining the Under-19 team in their series against the England Under-19 side.
In the one-off Youth Test, he made scores of 21 and 47 before following it up with a brilliant 115 in the first Youth ODI.
“Pakistan’s [Under-19] captain Farhan Yousaf plays like Virat Kohli,” Ramiz was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X.
While the Pakistan Under-19s face their English counterparts, the senior men’s team are locked in a three-Test series against England and are aiming for a consolation victory in the ongoing third Test in Birmingham.
