Rashid Latif: “Head coach Mike Hesson doesn’t know the Pakistani players at all because he doesn’t even watch domestic cricket”

Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has criticised white-ball head coach Mike Hesson, claiming he does not know the Pakistani players because he does not watch domestic cricket.
Hesson is under pressure to deliver results, with Pakistan having struggled for consistency in recent outings.
Latif noted that if Hesson wants to get a better understanding of Pakistan cricket and the players available who can benefit the national team, he has to start paying closer attention to what’s happening at the domestic level.
“Head coach Mike Hesson doesn’t know the Pakistani players at all because he doesn’t even watch domestic cricket,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X.
Pakistan recently toured the West Indies for two Tests, which finished as a 1-1 draw.
They are now in England for a three-Test series and began disastrously as they were crushed by an innings and 103 runs in the 1st Test at Headingley in Leeds.
The 2nd Test will start on August 27 at Lord’s.
