Hasan Ali: “Azam Khan has been doing so much hard work at the NCA. I’m really excited to see him”

Pakistan speedster Hasan Ali is excited to see what the future holds for big-hitting wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan as he has been putting in “so much hard work” at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
Azam has represented Pakistan in 14 T20Is to date, but only managed to score 88 runs at an average of 8.80 and a strike-rate of 133.33.
The 27-year-old, who is the son of former captain Moin Khan, has faced criticism throughout his career over his weight and inconsistency with the bat.
However, Azam has shed a significant amount of weight in recent times and has been working on improving his overall game.
Seeing the effort Azam has been putting in, Hasan hopes to see him thrive going forward.
“Azam Khan has been doing so much hard work at the NCA. I’m really excited to see him,” he was quoted as saying on X.
Neither Azam nor Hasan were picked for Pakistan’s ongoing two-Test series against the West Indies, where they trail 1-0 after losing the 1st Test by 90 runs.
The 2nd Test will be held in Trinidad and Tobago from August 2 to 6.
After their tour of the West Indies, Pakistan will travel to England for a three-Test series from August 19 to September 13.
