Waqar Younis: “He’s a wicket-taker”

Legendary Pakistan pace bowler Waqar Younis has praised mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed, calling him a “wicket-taker”.
Abrar has been exceptionally effective with the ball in ODIs and T20Is as of late, and has thus become a key member of the team.
During Pakistan’s three-match ODI series against Australia, the 27-year-old took six wickets at an average of 16.16.
“He’s a wicket-taker,” Waqar was quoted as saying on X.
Abrar was not selected for Pakistan’s ongoing two-Test series against the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago, where the men in green find themselves trailing 1-0 after losing the 1st Test by 90 runs.
The 2nd Test will be held between August 2 and 6.
After that, Pakistan will head to England for a three-Test series from August 19 to September 13.
