South Africa spinner Tabraiz Shamsi has called Pakistan batsman Khawaja Nafay a “serious player”.
Nafay is regarded as one of Pakistan’s emerging talents and has already featured in four T20Is, with his most recent appearance coming in February 2026.
The 24-year-old was recently in action for the Quetta Gladiators in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), but had a disappointing campaign as he was restricted to 77 runs in eight matches at an average of 9.62 and a strike-rate of 124.19.
Despite this, Shamsi believes Nafay has significant potential and a bright future ahead.
“Khawaja Nafay is a serious player,” he said on X.
After PSL 11, Pakistan faced Bangladesh in a two-Test series, but were beaten 2-0.
Nafay wasn’t picked for that series and hasn’t been selected for the ongoing three-match ODI series against Australia, where the men in green hold a 1-0 lead.
The 2nd ODI will take place on June 2 in Lahore.
