Pakistan left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir has said he would consider taking up the role of Bangladesh’s bowling coach if approached.
Although retired from international cricket, Amir has remained active on the domestic T20 circuit.
After enjoying strong performances across multiple tournaments, the 34-year-old from Gujar Khan appears to be exploring a potential move into coaching.
“I would be very happy and would definitely consider it if the Bangladesh Cricket Board asked me to be their bowling coach or mentor,” he was quoted as saying by TOK Sports.
Amir was recently involved in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he picked up 12 wickets in 10 games for Rawalpindiz at an average of 27.16 and an economy rate of 8.81.
The Pakistan team are now taking on Bangladesh in a two-Test series, where they trail 1-0 after losing the 1st Test in Mirpur by 104 runs.
The 2nd Test got underway on May 16 in Sylhet.
