Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has hailed opener Sahibzada Farhan as the “most successful batsman in 2025”.
Farhan has become a key member of the national side, particularly in T20Is, while also beginning to establish himself in the ODI set-up.
In T20Is, the 30-year-old has scored 1,305 runs in 46 matches, including two centuries and 10 fifties, at an average of 30.34 and a strike rate of 136.64.
“Sahibzada Farhan was the most successful batsman in 2025,” Latif said on X.
Farhan has been in great form so far this year as during the 2026 T20 World Cup, he was the highest run-scorer with 383 runs in seven games, which included two hundreds and two half-centuries, at an average of 76.60 and a strike-rate of 160.25.
He then proceeded to make his ODI debut in the three-match series against Bangladesh and finished with 64 runs at an average of 21.33.
As for the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), the Charsadda native ended up making 380 runs in 10 matches for the Multan Sultans, which included a century and two fifties, at an average of 42.22 and a strike-rate of 166.66.
Pakistan are now involved in a two-Test series against Bangladesh, but Farhan was not included in the side.
The 1st Test began on May 8 in Mirpur, while the 2nd Test will get underway on May 16 in Sylhet.
