Wasim Akram: “Remember that ‘Form is temporary, class is forever.’ Keep going, and you will return to the top of world cricket again”

Iconic Pakistan left-arm seamer Wasim Akram has predicted that batsman Babar Azam “will return to the top of world cricket again”.
Azam has been struggling to score runs consistently for quite some time, but is working hard to get back in form.
The 30-year-old has been out of the T20I team lately, missing the three-match series against Bangladesh in Lahore, the tour of Bangladesh, the three-match series against the West Indies, and the T20I tri-series involving the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan.
He did, however, play in the three-match ODI series against the West Indies and made 56 runs at an average of 18.66.
Even though Azam is going through a very tough period in his career, Wasim is confident he will experience a massive resurgence soon.
“Babar Azam is our superstar and a top player in world cricket. I would just advise him to stay calm, ignore unnecessary press conferences, and remember that ‘Form is temporary, class is forever.’ Keep going, and you will return to the top of world cricket again,” the Sultan of Swing was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Pakistan are now taking part in the 2025 Asia Cup, which is being played in the UAE.
They beat Oman and the UAE in the group stage, while also losing to India.
As for the ongoing Super Four stage, the men in green started with a six-wicket defeat against India before turning things around with a five-wicket win over Sri Lanka.
Pakistan’s next match will be against Bangladesh on September 25 in Dubai.
