Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar: “If the ball moves even a little bit our batters are in trouble. They need to realise that you can’t carry the Rawalpindi pitch everywhere with you”

Fast bowling great Shoaib Akhtar said if the ball moves a little bit, the Pakistan batsmen “are in trouble”.
His comments come after the men in green failed to impress in their three-match ODI series against the West Indies, which they lost 2-1.
Akhtar noted that the men in green cannot “carry the Rawalpindi pitch” with them wherever they go and must adapt to playing on different wickets.
If this doesn’t change soon, the Rawalpindi Express expects the same thing to keep happening over and over again.
“If the ball moves even a little bit our batters are in trouble. They need to realise that you can’t carry the Rawalpindi pitch everywhere with you,” he was quoted as saying by respected journalist Saj Sadiq on X, formerly known as Twitter.
After their tour of the West Indies, the men in green faced the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan in a T20I tri-series in Sharjah, which they won.
They are now involved in the 2025 Asia Cup, which is being played in the UAE.
Pakistan have won two games so far – against Oman and the UAE – and lost one, which came against India.
Having advanced to the Super Four stage, they will go up against India once again on September 21 in Dubai.
