Pakistan fast bowler Ahmed Daniyal has acknowledged that Tayyab Tahir is a dangerous batsman as he is “tough to stop” once he starts firing on all cylinders.

Tahir has been in and around the national team lately, but only played a handful of games during the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The 32-year-old represented the Multan Sultans in three matches and scored 58 runs at an average of 29 and a strike-rate of 138.09.

Having dismissed Tahir when the Sultans played the Peshawar Zalmi, Daniyal admitted he felt very happy as he knows what kind of damage the Gujrat native can inflict.

“The wicket of Tayyab Tahir was particularly satisfying because once he gets going, he’s tough to stop,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Like Tahir, Daniyal also didn’t play many games during PSL 10, but still managed to have an impact as he took six wickets in four matches at an average of 22.33 and an economy rate of 8.93.

After the PSL concluded, Pakistan faced Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series in Lahore, but neither Tahir nor Daniyal were included in the squad.

However, Daniyal ended up making his international debut when Pakistan toured Bangladesh for another three-match T20I series and picked up three wickets in two games at an average of 13 and an economy rate of 5.57.

Following this, the men in green embarked on a tour of the West Indies, but Tahir didn’t make the cut yet again, while Daniyal was overlooked by the selectors as well.

Pakistan started off by winning the T20I series 2-1 before suffering a 2-1 defeat in the ODIs.
