Pakistan great Javed Miandad has advised batsman Babar Azam to watch videos of his big scores in the past in order to help regain his form.
Miandad noted Azam should analyse what he did to score those runs and also identify if anything has changed with his batting technique since then.
The 30-year-old has come under intense criticism for his prolonged rough patch, which has seemingly resulted in him losing his spot in the T20I team.
While Miandad knows Azam is going through a tough time, he insisted the Lahore native is more than capable of becoming the dominant force he once was.
“I suggest Babar to watch his videos of matches where he scored big runs. Those videos will provide him help to get back his best batting technique,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Azam was recently involved in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he captained the Peshawar Zalmi and scored 288 runs in 10 games, which included three fifties, at an average of 36 and a strike-rate of 128.57.
After PSL 10, he was left out of Pakistan’s squad for the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Lahore, which the men in green won 3-0.
Azam was ignored by the selectors once again for the tour of Bangladesh, where Pakistan lost the T20I series 2-1.
However, he will make his return during the limited overs tour of the West Indies as he was included in the ODI team.
Pakistan and the West Indies will play three T20Is and three ODIs from August 1 to 12.
