Pakistan legend Younis Khan has praised Sahibzada Farhan, saying his batting serves as a “great example for other top order players”.
Farhan has been unstoppable with the bat as of late as he was the highest run-scorer in the National T20 Cup with 605 runs in seven matches for Peshawar Region, which included three centuries and two fifties, at an incredible average of 121 and a strike-rate of 189.65.
Following this, the 29-year-old finished as the top run-scorer in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In 12 games for Islamabad United, the Charsadda native struck 449 runs, which included a hundred and three half-centuries, at an average of 37.41 and a strike-rate of 152.20.
“Farhan is in top form. His shot selection and awareness at the crease show that he’s a mature and confident batter. He’s a great example for other top order players,” Younis said on Josh Jaga Dey as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
After PSL 10 concluded, Farhan continued to shine as he accumulated 75 runs in two T20Is against Bangladesh, which included a career-best 74, at an average of 37.50 and a strike-rate of 166.66.
Pakistan won the three-match series 3-0.
