Former Pakistan fast bowler Tanvir Ahmed wants to see leg-spinner Usama Mir replace T20I vice-captain Shadab Khan in the national team.
Tanvir feels that Mir deserves a spot in the side more than Shadab, who is a spin-bowling all-rounder.
“Usama Mir should replace Shadab Khan in the national cricket team,” he said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Samaa TV.
Recently, Mir and Shadab were in action in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), with the former playing for the Multan Sultans and the latter captaining Islamabad United.
Mir took four wickets in seven matches at an average of 55.50 and an economy rate of 9.31.
Shadab, meanwhile, finished with 14 wickets in 10 games at an average of 16.57 and an economy rate of 7.90.
He also scored 173 runs at an average of 24.71 and a strike-rate of 155.85.
