Shoaib Akhtar: “Give me the domestic circuit, I will fix it. I will sacrifice my time with my family for the future of Pakistan. I know what my fate will be after three years. I’m still ready to sacrifice”

Legendary fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar said he will fix domestic cricket in Pakistan if he is given the chance to do so.
He noted that he is willing to “sacrifice time with my family” in order to ensure the state of cricket in the country is a lot better than it currently is.
Akhtar is renowned for being one of the scariest pace bowlers Pakistan has ever produced as he holds the record for the fastest ball bowled in international cricket at 161.3 kph (100.2 mph).
“Give me the domestic circuit, I will fix it. I will sacrifice my time with my family for the future of Pakistan. I know what my fate will be after three years. I’m still ready to sacrifice,” he said on PTV Sports as quoted by NDTV.
The Pakistan team recently featured in the 2025 Champions Trophy and were eliminated in the group stage after going winless.
They are now playing a limited overs series against New Zealand and were thrashed 4-1 in the T20Is.
The two teams are currently involved in a three-match ODI series, which the Black Caps lead 2-0 heading into the 3rd ODI in Mount Maunganui.
