Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has called out ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan, saying his “bat seems to have stopped working”.
Rizwan has been one of Pakistan’s most consistent run-scorers, but his form has dipped as of late.
During the 2025 Champions Trophy, the 32-year-old amassed 49 runs in two matches at an average of 24.50.
He then missed the five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which Pakistan lost 4-1, as he wasn’t included in the squad.
“Rizwan’s bat seems to have stopped working,” Kaneria told ANI as quoted by NDTV.
Rizwan is now leading the men in green in their three-match ODI series against New Zealand and has made 35 runs in two games at an average of 17.50.
Pakistan find themselves 2-0 down going into the 3rd ODI on April 5 in Mount Maunganui.
