Aakash Chopra: “Abrar Ahmed… he is slightly underrated, and not many people have seen or played against him”

Former India batsman Aakash Chopra believes Pakistan mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed “is slightly underrated”.
He noted that not many cricketers know a lot about Abrar as they have yet to play against him or see him in action.
The 26-year-old recently featured in Pakistan’s ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, where he took three wickets in three matches at an average of 57.
He then played in the 2025 Champions Trophy and claimed two wickets in two games at an average of 37.50.
“Abrar Ahmed… he is slightly underrated, and not many people have seen or played against him,” Chopra said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Geo Super.
Pakistan lost to New Zealand and India in the Champions Trophy, which led to them getting knocked out in the group stage.
Their final game against Bangladesh was abandoned due to rain.
The men in green will now embark on a tour of New Zealand, where they will play five T20Is and three ODIs from March 16 to April 5.
