Pakistan spinner Usman Qadir: “Like Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz and Usama Mir, if I had been given constant opportunities, I would have done something different”

Pakistan spinner Usman Qadir believes he “would have done something different” if he had got as many chances as Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz and Usama Mir.
Qadir, who is the son of legendary spinner Abdul Qadir, represented Pakistan in 25 T20Is and took 31 wickets at an average of 18.48.
He also featured in one ODI and claimed one wicket at an average of 48.
Fed up with his lack of opportunities, the 31-year-old retired from Pakistan cricket in October 2024.
“Like Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz and Usama Mir, if I had been given constant opportunities, I would have done something different,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Since he has stepped away from the national team, Qadir did not feature in the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa.
He also missed the 2025 Champions Trophy, where the men in green were eliminated in the group stage.
