Sarfaraz Ahmed: “With the ball, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf are brilliant bowlers and are playing well”

Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed has praised fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, saying they are “brilliant bowlers and are playing well”.
Afridi and Rauf are two of Pakistan’s key seamers as they are relied upon to take plenty of wickets.
During the recent ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, Afridi took six wickets in three games at an average of 33.16.
Rauf only played one match and claimed one wicket at an average of 23.
He suffered a muscular sprain in his chest in the opening game of the tri-series against New Zealand, but has already made a full recovery.
“With the ball, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf are brilliant bowlers and are playing well,” Sarfaraz was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Both Afridi and Rauf are now taking part in the 2025 Champions Trophy and featured in the match against New Zealand, which Pakistan lost by 60 runs.
Afridi went wicketless, while Rauf picked up two wickets.
Pakistan’s next match will be against India on February 23 in Dubai.
