Younis Khan: “Zaman could play a pivotal role in leading Pakistan to victory with a memorable innings, as he has done in the past”

Legendary batsman Younis Khan believes big-hitter Fakhar Zaman “could play a pivotal role in leading Pakistan to victory” at the 2025 Champions Trophy.
Zaman made his international comeback in the recent ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, and stole the spotlight with his aggressive brand of batting.
The 34-year-old from Mardan amassed 135 runs in three matches, which included a top score of 84, at an average of 45 and a strike-rate of 120.53.
With Zaman looking in lethal form ahead of the Champions Trophy, Younis has backed him to rise up and shine throughout the tournament.
“Zaman could play a pivotal role in leading Pakistan to victory with a memorable innings, as he has done in the past,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
The Champions Trophy will be held from February 19 to March 9.
