Mickey Arthur: “You were one of the best internationally! Going to miss watching you in green”

Former Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur has lauded left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir, saying he was “one of the best” players the men in green had.
His praise comes after Amir retired from international cricket once again.
Amir had previously been retired but returned to represent the men in green at the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he was Pakistan’s joint-highest wicket-taker with seven wickets in four matches at an average of 10.28 and an economy rate of 4.50.
Having decided to walk away from international cricket for the second time, Arthur conceded that he will miss watching the 32-year-old in action for Pakistan.
“You were one of the best internationally! Going to miss watching you in green!” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Pakistan team recently travelled to Australia and won the ODI series 2-1 before being whitewashed 3-0 in the T20Is.
They then headed to Zimbabwe and triumphed 2-1 in both the ODI and T20I series.
Currently, Pakistan are in South Africa and lost the T20I series 2-0 before bouncing back to win the ODIs 3-0.
The men in green and Proteas are now involved in a two-Test series, which started on December 26 in Centurion.
