Aamer Sohail: “He (Babar Azam) is also working to address his technical flaws that everyone was pointing out during the red-ball series against Bangladesh”

Former Pakistan captain Aamer Sohail has praised batsman Babar Azam for taking the initiative to work on addressing the flaws that were pointed out in his game during the two-Test series against Bangladesh.
Azam hasn’t been able to score runs regularly lately, which has become a huge thorn in the side of the Pakistan team.
A number of issues were spotted with the 30-year-old’s technique and Aamer admitted it is good to see the Lahore native doing something about it rather than ignoring the problems.
“He (Babar Azam) is also working to address his technical flaws that everyone was pointing out during the red-ball series against Bangladesh,” he said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Samaa TV.
In the series against Bangladesh, Azam only managed to score 64 runs at an average of 16.
He was then involved in a three-Test series against England, but was only selected for the 1st Test, where he made scores of 30 and 5.
Following this, Azam featured in Pakistan’s limited overs series against Australia and struck 80 runs in three ODIs at an average of 80.
In the three T20Is that followed, he was restricted to 47 runs at an average of 15.66.
After their tour of Australia, Pakistan went to Zimbabwe, but Azam was rested for the ODI and T20I series, both of which the men in green won 2-1.
Pakistan are now in action against South Africa and Azam has registered scores of 0 and 31 in the first two T20Is.
The 3rd T20I will take place on December 15 in Johannesburg.
Once the T20I series is over, Pakistan and South Africa will play three ODIs and two Tests, which will begin on December 17 and December 26 respectively.
