Ex-England captain Michael Vaughan picked Inzamam-ul-Haq as one of his favourite Pakistan batsmen of all time since he could whack the ball out of the ground.

Vaughan noted that Inzamam, widely regarded as one of Pakistan’s greatest captains, didn’t need to rely on running between the wickets since he possessed raw power.

In his illustrious career, the 54-year-old featured in 120 Tests and scored 8,830 runs, which included 25 centuries and 46 fifties, at an average of 49.60.

He also amassed 11,739 runs in 378 ODIs, which included 10 hundreds and 83 half-centuries, at an average of 39.52.

As for his T20I career, the Multan native made 11 not out in the one match he played.

“The Big Inzy… you get him across all formats. He didn’t rely on running between wickets. He didn’t need to because he could just whack it out of the ground,” Vaughan was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

The Pakistan team recently took on Australia in a limited overs series, which consisted of three ODIs and three T20Is.

The men in green won the ODIs 2-1, which was their first ODI series win in Australia since 2002.

However, things didn’t go as well in the T20I series as they were whitewashed 3-0.

Pakistan are now involved in an ODI series against Zimbabwe, which is tied at 1-1 going into the third match on November 28 in Bulawayo.

After this, they will play three T20Is, with the first match starting on December 1 in Bulawayo.
