Salman Ali Agha: “I hope [the] input of captain Mohammad Rizwan will also be taken regarding the selection of team”

Pakistan batsman Salman Ali Agha believes limited overs captain Mohammad Rizwan should have a say on team selection.
He hopes Rizwan’s input will be accepted by the selectors as the 32-year-old will be held responsible for the team’s results.
The men in green have had mixed results since Rizwan made his debut as captain during the white-ball series against Australia.
In the ODIs, they triumphed 2-1 to secure their first ODI series win in Australia since 2002.
However, things went a lot differently in the three-match T20I series as Pakistan were whitewashed 3-0.
Considering that Rizwan will be judged on how well the team do, Salman feels it is necessary for the Peshawar native to have some power when it comes to picking the squad.
“I hope [the] input of captain Mohammad Rizwan will also be taken regarding the selection of team,” the limited overs vice-captain was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan are now involved in an ODI series against Zimbabwe, which is tied at 1-1 going into the third match on November 28 in Bulawayo.
After the three-match ODI series finishes, the two sides will play three T20Is, with the first game taking place on December 1 in Bulawayo.
