Shadab Khan: “With Rizwan as captain, the team will gather successes”

Pakistan spinner Shadab Khan is confident that the national team will succeed under newly-appointed limited overs captain Mohammad Rizwan.
Rizwan made his debut as skipper during the recent white-ball series against Australia, which consisted of three ODIs and three T20Is.
In the ODIs, the 32-year-old from Peshawar made 74 runs at an average of 74 as Pakistan triumphed 2-1, which was their first ODI series win in Australia since 2002.
As for the three-match T20I series that followed, the men in green were demolished 3-0.
Rizwan failed to have much of an impact with the bat during the series as he made 16 runs in two games at an average of eight.
Given the encouraging signs so far, especially with their historic ODI series win, Shadab has backed Rizwan to take the team to new heights.
“With Rizwan as captain, the team will gather successes,” the 26-year-old from Mianwali was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Next up for Pakistan will be a limited overs tour of Zimbabwe, where they will play three ODIs and three T20Is from November 24 to December 5.
