Pakistan speedster Abbas Afridi: “I [liked] to bat since the beginning. I am working on it. I am trying to become a good all-rounder”

Pakistan fast bowler Abbas Afridi has announced his intentions to “become a good all-rounder” in order to ensure he becomes an even more useful asset.
Afridi has already become a regular member of the T20I side due to his wicket-taking abilities.
While he is no doubt aiming to play for Pakistan in the other formats, the 23-year-old stressed the need to continue working on his batting.
“I [liked] to bat since the beginning. I am working on it. I am trying to become a good all-rounder,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Afridi was recently in action in Pakistan’s limited overs series against Australia, which consisted of three ODIs and three T20Is.
He didn’t play in the ODIs, but was picked for all three T20Is, where he dominated with the ball as he took six wickets at an average of 6.66 and an economy rate of 6.31.
Additionally, he also made 25 runs at an average of 12.50 and a strike-rate of 125.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a white-ball tour of Zimbabwe, where they will play three ODIs and three T20Is from November 24 to December 5.
