Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has asked why there are no fast bowlers in the country who can bowl between 140 kph and 150 kph on a consistent basis.

His comments come at a time when many ex-cricketers have noticed a drastic decrease in the bowling speed of many Pakistan speedsters.

This has been especially prevalent in Shaheen Shah Afridi, who many feel lost a lot of pace following his back-to-back knee injuries in 2022.

Pakistan is renowned for producing many fast bowling talents, but Kaneria expressed his concern as to why none of them are bowling at express pace.

“Even fast bowlers are finished. There is not even a single bowler who could’ve clocked 140 kph, let alone 150 kph,” he said on his YouTube channel as quoted by NDTV.

The men in green recently played three Tests against England and beat them 2-1, which gave them their first Test series win at home since 2021.

Pakistan now involved in a limited overs series against Australia, which consists of three ODIs and three T20Is.

Afterwards, they will tour Zimbabwe and play three ODIs and three T20Is from November 24 to December 5.
