Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria has slammed mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed, saying he is just like any other club bowler.

Abrar took Test cricket by storm when he made his debut in December 2022 as he bamboozled many of the world’s top batsmen.

However, his effectiveness has dropped lately as in the two-Test series against Bangladesh, he took one wicket in one match at an average of 123.

Most recently, he featured in Pakistan’s three-Test series against England and once again only played one Test, where he went wicketless.

Considering the 26-year-old’s lack of wickets as of late, Kaneria questioned whether Abrar really is a mystery spinner.

“Pakistan’s club cricket is full of bowlers like Abrar. What kind of a mystery spinner is he? It’s beyond my understanding,” he said on his YouTube channel as quoted by NDTV.

Pakistan are now facing Australia in a white-ball series that consists of three ODIs and three T20Is.
