Pakistan spinner Usama Mir: “I am not focused on T20 leagues”

Pakistan spinner Usama Mir has made it clear that he is not focused on playing T20 leagues and is determined to make his international comeback in the near future.
Mir last represented his country in April 2024 and was overlooked for the recent 2024 T20 World Cup, where the men in green were knocked out in the group stage.
Considering Pakistan have big decisions to make when it comes to their spin attack, the 28-year-old knows that he could be recalled to the national team and given another opportunity to cement his place in the side.
This comes after Shadab Khan failed to take any wickets in the T20 World Cup, while Imad Wasim came out of retirement for the tournament. However, it remains unclear whether he intends to keep playing international cricket going forward.
“I am not focused on T20 leagues,” he told PakPassion.
Mir was not part of Pakistan’s team for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which they lost 2-0.
Next up for the men in green will be a three-Test series against England, which is set to be held from October 7 to 28.
