Taskin Ahmed: “Abdullah Shafique’s wicket was really enjoyable for me”

Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed has admitted that he really enjoyed getting Pakistan opening batsman Abdullah Shafique out in the recent two-Test series.
The 29-year-old clean bowled Shafique for a duck in the first innings of the second Test in Rawalpindi, which Bangladesh won by six wickets to clinch a 2-0 series win.
The 24-year-old Pakistan rising star has seen his hot start in Tests significantly cool off as of late. This was evident during the Bangladesh Tests as he only managed to make 42 runs at an average of 10.50.
“Abdullah Shafique’s wicket was really enjoyable for me,” Taskin was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a three-match Test series against England, which is scheduled to take place from October 7 to 28.
