Saud Shakeel on being compared to Sunil Gavaskar: “My career has just started for Pakistan. I never took pressure of getting compared with the legendary batters”

Pakistan Test vice-captain Saud Shakeel said his career is just getting started after he was compared to legendary India batsman Sunil Gavaskar.
Shakeel has been in a rich vein of form as he has been scoring runs consistently for the men in green.
Despite already being compared to a great of the game in Gavaskar, the 28-year-old insisted that he doesn’t feel any pressure and will continue giving it his all whenever he represents his country.
“My career has just started for Pakistan. I never took pressure of getting compared with the legendary batters,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Karachi native is currently in action in Pakistan’s two-Test series against Bangladesh and made scores of 141 and 0 in the first Test, which the men in green lost by 10 wickets.
The second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh will get underway on August 30 in Rawalpindi.
