Shamyl Hussain picked himself over Saim Ayub

Pakistan batsman Shamyl Hussain picked himself over big-hitting opening batsman Saim Ayub, suggesting that he believes he is better than the 22-year-old.
Hussain was asked to choose between himself and Ayub when speaking to PakPassion and backed his own skills.
The 19-year-old is seen as an up-and-coming batsman in Pakistan and he recently made his List A debut for Pakistan TV in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day) tournament.
In the two matches he played, the Islamabad native made scores of 31 and 15.
Ayub was recently part of Pakistan’s squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he made 23 runs in two games at an average of 11.50 and a strike-rate of 79.31.
The men in green lost to the United States of America and India before rebounding to claim wins over Canada and Ireland.
Despite this, they still failed to make it through to the Super Eights.
Ayub is now set to feature in Pakistan’s two-Test series against Bangladesh, which will take place in Rawalpindi and Karachi from August 21 to September 3.
