Azam Khan, the Pakistan big-hitter, said everyone can see what he is capable of doing as his performances don’t lie.
The 25-year-old son of former captain Moin Khan has been a strong performer in domestic cricket for the past couple of years, but has been unable to replicate that success at the international level.
Most recently, he was involved in the 2024 T20 World Cup and was dismissed for a golden duck in Pakistan’s opening game against the United States of America, which was the only match he ended up playing.
Nonetheless, Azam insisted that he has proven he belongs at the highest level through his good form in domestic cricket.
“My performance is in front of everyone,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan lost to the United States of America and India in the T20 World Cup before bouncing back to take down Canada and Ireland.
Even though they ended the group stage with a 2-2 record, the men in green were unable to make it through to the Super Eights.
