Babar Azam, the Pakistan limited overs captain, said the pace trio of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah let their performances do the talking for them.
He noted that the number of wickets each one picks up shows just how good they are.
Given the fact he has three wicket-taking machines, Azam acknowledged that he is lucky to have “one of the best pace-bowling attacks” in international cricket right now.
“We have one of the best pace-bowling attacks in Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah, and their performances underscore how good they are,” he told PCB Digital.
Pakistan recently featured in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where Afridi took five wickets in four matches at an average of 21 and an economy rate of 6.56.
Rauf finished with seven wickets in four games at an average of 14.42 and an economy rate of 6.73.
As for Naseem, he picked up five wickets in three matches at an average of 14.20 and an economy rate of 5.91.
Pakistan started off with back-to-back losses to the United States of America and India before fighting back to defeat Canada and Ireland.
Despite ending the group stage on a high, the men in green were unable to make it through to the Super Eights.
