Pakistan top order batsman Sharjeel Khan has admitted that former big-hitting opener Imran Nazir was more destructive than him.
Nazir was once a key member of the Pakistan team and entertained everyone with his aggressive style of batting.
Nazir represented Pakistan in eight Test matches and scored 427 runs, which included two centuries and a fifty, at an average of 32.84.
In ODIs, the Gujranwala native amassed 1,895 in 79 matches, which included two hundreds and nine half-centuries, at an average of 24.61.
As for his T20I career, he accumulated 500 runs in 25 games, which included three fifties, at an average of 21.73.
Even though Sharjeel adopts the same attacking approach when batting, he reiterated that the 42-year-old did it better than him.
“Always Imran Nazir bhai,” Sharjeel said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Pakistan team was recently in action in the 2024 T20 World Cup and began with losses to the United States of America and India before fighting back to defeat Canada and Ireland.
Even though they ended the group stage with a 2-2 record, the men in green were unable to book their spot in the Super Eights.
