Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has admitted that he would be afraid to bowl to Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan.

Explaining why, Harbhajan pointed out that the 32-year-old from Peshawar is a very active batsman as he “takes the game on”.

Additionally, Rizwan has been one of Pakistan’s most consistent run-scorers in all three formats for the past few years.

“I would be afraid as a bowler to bowl to Mohammad Rizwan. He takes the game on,” Harbhajan was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Rizwan recently represented Pakistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup and was the team’s second-highest run-scorer with 110 runs in four matches, which included a top score of 53 not out, at an average of 36.66 and a strike-rate of 90.90.

The men in green started off with consecutive losses to the United States of America and India before bouncing back to take down Canada and Ireland.

Despite winning those two games, it was not enough to earn them a spot in the Super Eights.
