Atiq-uz-Zaman: “Azam Khan’s attitude towards the game is non-serious”

Former Pakistan cricketer Atiq-uz-Zaman has lashed out at wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan for having a poor attitude and not being serious about playing cricket.
Azam has been given multiple opportunities to prove himself at the international level, but hasn’t been able to do it, scoring 88 runs in 14 T20Is at an average of 8.80 and a strike-rate of 133.33.
In the 2024 T20 World Cup, the 25-year-old failed to impress as he was dismissed for a golden duck against the United States of America, which was the only game he played.
“Azam Khan’s attitude towards the game is non-serious,” Atiq told PakPassion.
Pakistan lost to the United States of America and India in the T20 World Cup before picking up wins over Canada and Ireland.
Despite ending the group stage with two wins and two losses, the men in green were unable to progress to the Super Eights.
